Boost solenoid ports legend:

1. NC - NORMALY CLOSED

2. COM - COMMON

3. NO - NORMALY OPEN

STEP 1

1. Install boost solenoid according to the turbocharger wastegate type
1. Internal turbocharger wastegate type with single boost connection:

               Boost pressure source to solenoid port 3 NO

                 Wastegate port to solenoid port 2 COM

2. External turbocharger wastegate type with top and bottom boost connections:

               Wastegate bottom port direct connection to boost pressure source.

               T splice on above line feeding the solenoid port 1 NC

                 Wastegate top port to solenoid port 2 COM

STEP 2

2. Insert ORANGE wire pin (solenoid output) to the supplied superseal connector empty socket.

STEP 3

3. Connect BLACK wire from supplied superseal connector to good engine ground point.

STEP 4

4. Plug in female superseal connector to boost solenoid connector.

Hint:

When the PBC - PRO starts up it performs a diagnostic test checking the current that flows through the solenoid and reports

if a short circuit or open circuit condition is found.
