6. TPS and Air Temp inputs

Throttle position information can also be obtained by using the PBC-Pro OBD option in vehicles which conform to the OBD ISO15765 specification.

Air temperature information can also be obtained by using the PBC-Pro OBD option in vehicles which conform to the OBD ISO15765 specification.

STEP 1

Connect Analog Input 1 - YELLOW or Analog Input 2 - GREEN wire to Throttle position sensor signal wire and setup in menu 5.6 and 5.5

SAFETY WARNING!

Do NOT connect to the throttle or pedal position sensor if a drive by wire / electric throttle system is used.

STEP 2

Connect only Analog Input 2 - GREEN wire to one pin of the PLEX air temperature sensor and connect the other pin to the PBC-Pro black - ground wire.

Setup in menu 5.6

SAFETY WARNING!

Do NOT connect Analog Input 2 - yellow wire to the air temperature sensor used by the ECU.The temperature reading will be wrong for both the ECU and the PBC-PRO.

Hint:

For enhanced precision the ground wire for the Air temp sensor must be spliced to the blue map sensor ground wire.(one of three wires inside the map sensor loom).
