QUICK INFO:
To install the PLEX KNOCK MONITOR and utilize all its functions follow the steps bellow.
Steps 1 & 2 are obligatory. Steps 3 & 4 are optional and can be skipped unless the user wants to:
a. detect knock per cylinder
b. detect knock per rpm
c. connect the knock monitor to a dyno, ecu or other external datalogger
STEP 1
STEP 2
STEP 3 (optional)
STEP 4 (optional)
Inputs & Outputs (Dyno, Ecu, Dataloggers)
Hint!
Normal engine sound varies with rpm. This means that the knock threshold will change with changing rpm.
When no rpm signal is connected to the knock monitor, it will attempt to calculate the threshold in realtime.
A much better accuracy is achieved by utilising the trigger input to the Knock Monitor. This way you can
set the threshold vs rpm curve follow the actual engine noise. It is therefore recommended that you use this
mode.
